Leaders need to know themselves first before they can lead well.
Effective leaders know themselves: their strengths, challenges, how they prefer to go about their work and what activities excite or exhaust them. You can find out all of this from a behavioural profile.
Leaders who understand and know themselves well are more effective in everything they do. After completing a 20 minute on-line questionnaire, an accurate and thorough 40-page leadership report (DISC) is produced that maps your behavioural and communication preferences, how you might be perceived by others, your tendencies, areas for improvement and strategies to assist you to improve your interactions with others and lift your work performance.
The behavioural profile tool combines the two sciences of performance that help you to understand yourself in how you behave and communicate and why you move into action, using the very well-known and research – based DISC and Driving Forces.
Janine will walk you through the report in a private and confidential debrief. Using a coaching style, Janine will work with you to analyse the report findings and help you to create strategic actions to move your leadership and career forward.

Janine wants you to feel in control of your own development and locking you into a program does not give you that freedom. We recommend you start with at least 3 coaching sessions and then you will be starting to feel the impact and benefit of your work with Janine.
You decide how many sessions you want to have and because you book the sessions yourself, using a calendar booking link, you have the freedom to also reschedule if your plans change.
To achieve behaviour change and real results, 4 to 6 sessions across a semester is recommended, with the sessions spaced three weeks apart.
Janine recommends that sessions are booked between 3 weeks and 1 month apart. Any further apart and momentum and drive gets diminished.
In coaching, the coachee (that’s you) are driving the conversation. So, you choose your priorities. Your coach is there to raise your awareness and thinkings with aspects and resources you haven’t noticed or considered.
Before a coaching session, it is helpful if you have thought about what you want to explore in the session. Together you and Janine will work on one thing at a time. Depending on the exploration involved, you may only work through one topic in your session, or you may want to touch on a few smaller topics.
Having a list of 1,2 or 3 things in helpful. It’s also good to have with you a notepad, pen and glass of water.
Each session runs for 1 hour. They are held over ZOOM. Find yourself a quiet space so you can be easily heard, and you can comfortably hear Janine. You also want to be in a space where you are not interrupted and no-one else can hear you.
Janine is often asked to coach several people in one organisation, and she stresses with everyone she coaches that their story, their challenges and what they work on together is their business and no-one else’s. Janine operates under a code of ethics where confidentiality is paramount. If your organisation requests a coaching report, the contents of that report are decided together.
